Students’ e-mail account guidelines: (account names shall be completely in lowercase letters)

Example: A first-year student of a master’s program with student ID number M0012001 will have the e-mail account m0012001 and the e-mail address m0012001@mail.ncue.edu.tw.

The undergraduate prefix is s; master’s program is m; college of further education is a; and a doctorate program is d.

1. The preset password is the first eight digits of the ID number, with the first English letter capitalized.

2. Network post office address (WebMail): https://mail.ncue.edu.tw/

3. Both the internal (POP3) and external (SMTP) mail server setting shall be mail.ncue.edu.tw.

4. The total space of the personal mailbox and network post office shall be 100MB,

and the maximum size of a single e-mail is 10MB.

5. When using the WebMail, please move read mail to the inbox, rather than saving it in the new mailbox.

6. After a student graduates, if he/she does not delete the account but has not used it in more than six months, the account and relevant files shall be deleted.

Teaching and administrative staffs’ mail service description

1. The maximum size of a single e-mail is 100MB.

2. The total personal mailbox space (mail and cloud hard drive) shall be 4GB.

3. The advertising mail blocking system has been preset to open, but you can login to the system to set the blacklist and white list.

4. For more information about Web Mail (Mail2000), please login to the system and refer to the “description” in the upper right corner of the webpage.

5. Mass e-mail principle: When the "same sender" sends more than 500 e-mails in one day, the system shall automatically lock, and the reason must be explained to the system manager in order to unlock it.

Teaching and administrative staff’s online application for the advertising mail blocking service

1. The advertising mail blocking service system can be found at http://spam.ncue.edu.tw/.

Note: If you fear that your active mail may be blocked by mistake, you can login to the system to change the blocking settings. We suggest temporarily changing it and then recovering it after the activity time.

2. By clicking the "start using the blocking function", you shall start receiving e-mail in the subject of "your blocked mail details..." within several hours, with the content of your blocked e-mail details, which you should carefully check.

If you find e-mails that you want to receive, please click "receive".

If you find e-mails that you do not want blocked, please click "receive and add to whitelist"; then, e-mail from that sender will no longer be blocked.

3. If the statistical blocking mail notice is incorrect, login to the system at any time to inquire about the e-mail that has been blocked at that point.

4. If you have several host mail accounts (cc, cc2, mail), please use each account separately and select each different host to login and apply for blocking.

If you continue to receive many advertising e-mails, please check for other mail accounts, such as the hinet account. The system is only aimed at your campus mail account; your off-campus mailbox connects directly to the off-campus server, which the system has no permission to block.
